in my proffesion we mainly practice the following 1. conversion of crude oil to petroleum products such as petrol, diesel, kerosen, jet fuel, tar, and other variety of products by chemical and physical processes to breakdown the heavy crude oil. 2. maintain the physical and chemical characteristics of these products by controlling their properties due to environmental changes. 3. Risk assesment and hazard identification because most of these products are flamable and sometimes toxic if not handled carefully 4. Set environmental control measures for pollutants emitted by the petroleum production industries such as smoke, particulate matter, waste liquid spillage e.t.c.
